Dr. Edgar and Alpine Health Care's purpose is to help you achieve a pain-free state of health without the detrimental use of drugs, narcotics or surgery.

Dr. Ken Edgar has been studying and treating patients with natural health care since he was 17 years old. He took his first massage and reflexology course in 1974 and has continued to learn and practice many forms of massage therapy to this day. In 1986, Dr. Edgar began chiropractic school after finishing his pre-med course in biology and genetics at Cal State Los Angeles. He began his practice in Malibu, California working on professional and elite athletes. From 1995-1997, he worked under Dr. Ron Lawrence, a neurologist, with over 30 years of acupuncture research to learn medical/pain control acupuncture. In 1997 Dr. Edgar and his family moved to Montrose, Colorado. Dr. Edgar incorporates many therapies for an integrated approach to the whole person. Deep myofascial release, chiropractic biomechanical analysis and manipulation, meridian based and medical acupuncture, nutritional analysis and orthotics casting for mechanical foot problems are among his specialties.

Dr. Edgar has been trained in Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Somatic Therapy, Structural Integration, Ayurvedic Bodywork, Emotional Release Body-work, Acupunture (Dipl. Ac., I.A.M.A.), Acupuncture Orthopedics, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, and Nutrition.
